How to be less mad about KU’s Bracket 😤
Scoops Madness
I said last week, NIL is the single most important factor in recruiting for basketball and football right now. So let’s do what KU fans do best and support the Jayhawks.
This is a $20 NCAA Tournament Bracket Challenge to support NIL efforts at KU. 100% of proceeds will go to KU NIL made in the winner’s name. If 100 people sign up, we’re looking at $2,000 for KU athletes. If 500 sign up, we’d hit $10,000.
Every person joining matters!
The winner will earn:
Their pick of one NIL shirt from Charlie Hustle that’s in stock (pictured below).
The donation made to Mass St. Collective in your name and member subsequent benefits.
Those benefits include everything from a koozie to autographs and more, depending on how much we raise.
I’m working to add additional prizes or cash value throughout the week.

It’s not ideal, but LeagueSafe is the best option I found to safely hold the money without my Venmo getting shutdown.
Once you pay, LeagueSafe will email you with a link to the bracket and its password. Email thehearings@substack.com if you have any issues, and I’ll help.
How to be less mad about KU’s Bracket
KU didn’t get the best draw in the world. I’m mad about it… and you probably are, too. Here are a few quick facts that may help:
KU is favored by 20.5 points against Howard, the biggest opening spread in the NCAA Tournament this year. That’s not a bad place to start.
Arkansas is good. We know that. What hasn’t been mentioned much is the Razorbacks losing four of their last five games this season.
Arkansas is also one of the youngest teams in the country, ranking 263rd in D-1 experience on Kenpom.
KU’s second-round game could also be against Illinois. I’m Hearing Cam Martin started for Kansas when the two teams scrimmaged this summer. The Illini would face a VERY different KU team.
The Pre-Tournament favorite has only won the championship four times since 2010. Houston is currently the odds-on favorite to win the title.
There is more money bet on KU to win the Tournament than any other team in college basketball at MGM, per John Ewing. That indicates some Pro Money on The Jayhawks.
Or, you can be mad like me and make a video about it (NSFW language).
This is awesome! Go KU NIL!
