I think one reason for not being transparent early on regarding Self not coaching in the tournament was to help secure as high a tournament seed as possible. The seeding committee will penalize teams with missing and injured players that are not at full strength.
They don’t hold an end of season press conference, I seem to remember Bill talking to the media via press conference at the end of each season, may be it was held closer to the last game then it was this year but it seems to me he had a end of season presser? I also don’t think ku or anybody needs to respond to stupid rumors started by bored people on Twitter, if that was the case teams/programs would be having a press conference every other day
