Poll: What Hearings Do You Want Next?
Allen Fieldhouse and Memorial Stadium renovation HEARINGS are coming
In continuing to build this newsletter together, please let me know what HEARINGS you want next. I’ve got information on the following subjects, but they’ll all take extra time to flesh out.
Whatever gets the most votes will take priority from my end.
Also, please continue sharing this with your KU friends. Your inputs and feedback drive the content, and I’ve got some good HEARINGS to come.
News and Notes
Some quick hitters ahead of Saturday’s game vs. Iowa State:
I’ve heard Dajuan Harris is mostly healthy. I’ve been asked a lot about how banged up he is, but I think he’s good considering the minutes he’s played.
Bill Self brought this up in his Thursday press conference, and I thought it was interesting. Harris is shooting 46% from three in conference play. He’s got to keep shooting.
Kevin McCullar has a right index finger injury, which could limit what he can do offensively, per Self. McCullar is critical to this team’s success (more to come on that).
Self gave Zach Clemence a lot of love during the presser. He’s clearly gaining confidence and making a small impact. Self had one line that stood out as the ultimate truth behind why Clemence doesn’t play much. “We’re not going to play to fit him.” It’s simply a matter of system. A stretch five isn’t the best option for KU right now — and has it ever been for Self?
KU has won seven straight vs. Iowa State. It opened as a +1.5 underdog for tomorrow.
If there’s anything you want to see that’s not listed above, please leave a comment, reply to this email, or send me a note via kuhearings@gmail.com. Thank you!
